Library music was an interesting genre of music from the 60s/70s that was essentially made for television and movies. Think back to any B cop/gangster movie from the era. This music served a purpose from movie producers because they could use the library tracks for considerably less money than a popular track in which royalties would be too great. Nowadays, these tunes have found a cult following amongst producers/djs because of their stark, funky vibes. This mix is a nice introduction to kpm music recording library; England's premier library producer. There are hundreds of lps in the kpm discography, but the 1000 series (with the green covers) are among the best. Don't know if this mix is a legit release or not, but it's a great collection of some of the choice cuts from kpm's vaults. Enjoy!
