Cosmo Baker - Love Break 3 (The Final Chapter)

The final chapter of an amazing series by one of my favorite DJs (Cosmo Baker).  This is baby-making music right here!  Light some candles, pop a bottle of fine wine, and let the music do the rest.

Duke - Uptown Lowdown (Funk Mix)

Here's a mix I put together last winter as a warm-up for a funk night we did at the Arm Factory.  Recorded on a Tascam 4 track, 1 take, all vinyl , no edits... Enjoy!

Donovan - Barabajagal (1969 Epic Records)

That's right!!!  Mr. Mellow Yellow, Donovan.  This is an interesting Lp that I got from my Dad's old collection.  Donovan is most well known for his psychedelic pop hits; Mellow Yellow, Hurdy Gurdy Man, There Is A Mountain to name a few.  Barabajagal still has Donovan's whimsical stylings all over it (most notably I Love My Shirt & Pamela Jo), but it also has some pretty rockin' tracks.  The title track and Trudi feature The Jeff Beck Group as the rhythm section and both cuts don't disappoint.  Superlungs My Supergirl, Where Is She, and Happiness Runs all have beautiful melodies with a light airy feel.  I've had this record for awhile and still enjoy it every time I put it on. Here's a little taste...

DJ Muro - 45AREpm

DJ Muro is one of Japan's most notable beat diggers/djs.  In fact, he is considered the unofficial "King of Diggin."  This mix here is a nice one for anyone who digs on soulful hip hop samples of the Just Blaze/Kanye variety.  Here is the official description.  Check It...

Every track on this compliation is recorded using 2 turntables and vinyl records only. No part of this CD was digitally enhanced in anyway. In addition, every record was originally meant to be played back at 33rpm. DJ Muro has masterfully created this mix whereby he plays each record at the incorrect speed of 45rpm

Marsellus Wallace - Shelf Arrangements

Over the years I have heard a fair share of breaks mixes.  There are loads of great ones out there (anything by Muro, Kon & Amir, Paul Nice, and The Conmen), but this mix may take the cake.  Marsellus Wallace is a DJ/record collector from San Diego that reps Library records HARD.  Check this mix to see what's up.
